that being said if you want to actually learn good all patterns and attack dying over 100 times sounds reasonable, personally i dont think i died more than 30-40 times on a single boss (big man radahn) and i think i cleared most in sub 10
The secret really is to upgrade your two new DLC-specific power ups. I've played all the DS games and Sekiro, and other than Ishinn Messmer was the most difficult I've ever played.
After pumping up those power ups I beat him on the second or third try.
I don't think the game does a good job telling you how important they are.
Just... play it and see if you good at it or totally suck and need to learn.
