The internetz voices whisper about a magic based combat game. Now that would be just plain amazing, forcing the people who only knows how to play using a stick or a katana because "MhUaGiCZ Ez MoDeZ" casting non stop.

And with how they went in Elden RIng DLC its clear they want to expand on making RPG instead of an Action Game
Sekiro IMO was the only truly hard soulslike they've ever made, you could fumble your way or over level your way through Dark Souls bosses but that was impossible in Sekiro. it was so hard many found themselves unable to even beat the first boss, let alone the insane final boss.
