Trying to change moveset mods but save file is "corrupted"

I beat the game using the carian knight move set mod, and I wanted to switch over to a different moveset mod but when I try to start a new game, as soon as I hit a button, it says "failed to save game, save data is corrupted." I didn't back up a save before I started modding (Like an idiot). Is there anything I can do to fix this? (Also it goes back to normal if I put the Carian Knight move set mod back and works fine)

EDIT: If I use Steam to start the game, it works fine. Idk if that means I can then back up a save using that method or what

happend here as well you cannot fix it you need to start new save.
