Clearing was pee easy with Gambit, Loretta's, Cannon and Piercer. Bosses barely give time to cast more than once, not to mention it's almost impossible to fully use Carian Grandest. Additionally, bosses have much more attacks that specifically target you and not the person that currently holds aggro.
Exploration was great, bosses were trash.
dont' expect to be able to cast anything that doesn't come out fast enough. Not too much difference between ranged and melee given how fast the DLC bosses can gapclose before you even finish casting
Cold infused Backhand Blades are the best for boss fights on an INT build IMO.
One thing I tried and didn't seem to get the effect was the impenetrable thorns. It's awfully slow and when it does it, it isn't doing anywhere near the damage I see on YouTube. Is it my arcane being too low? My stats are
60 vigor
40 mind
40 end
28 strength
59 dex
40 int
25 faith
55 arcane
Playing in NG+3
I've also been testing backhand blades on an INT build recently, but I'm not sure if its better to use spells to proc frost and have the backhand blades magic infused instead as there seems to be a big difference in AR between mag/cold infusion ? Wonder if you tried both setups.
Arcane only helps proc Bleed faster, it doesn't make the spell do more damage. What staff are you using?
