A bit disappointed by the dlc weapon distribution
Has anyone else noticed that faith weapons and incantations and stuff seem massively over represented in the dlc? I was hoping to get some sweet new int weapons and sorceries but instead it feels like everything I ever find is for faith builds. Even some of the few int weapons I've found also have faith scaling. I'm really confused why they decided to go down this route right now it feels like you kinda miss out on a significant portion of the dlc if you don't play a faith build.

Yes they are, and I say finally.

In the base game they were few and far between (good ones I mean).
This DLC balance things out in this regard.
Every single damn weapon in the DLC is for overlevelled losers who are bad at the game and are at level 400 where they actually did level up STR and also DEX and also INT and also FTH.

I didn't feel that way in the base game tbh, I can think of like 5 solid faith weapons off top of my head. I would maybe buy this argument if it weren't to the degree it is in the dlc. I've found what feels like 15 faith scaling weapons and only like 2 int scaling weps neither of which are pure int, one scales off faith also the other scales off of arcane. I didn't really pay attention to arcane weapons in the dlc but I don't think I saw many of those either.

There are tons of good int scaling good weapons in the base game tho.
And considering how OP frost is already, every weapon can become good when scaling with INT.
The reverse with Faith isn't true at all.

Even if we totally ignore the weapons and say it's fine, I still don't think this justifies having like only incantations in the dlc and no sorceries as far as I've seen. Even the new ashes of war so far feel like they're mostly holy or fire.

I've to disagree, especially consideing how busted still are some thorn sorceries you find in the DLC.

That doesn't change the fact that there are 14 Sorceries in the DLC......
And 28......twice as many....Incantations in the DLC.
(And the thorn sorceries are Faith sorceries, so not really viable for Glintstone Casters and such with low Faith.)

Yeah, just as it doesn't change that there are a lot more viable sorceries than incantations.
Personally, I feel this new DLC brought some balance between sorceries vs incantations, ease of use and utility wise.
I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree.

Personally, I think the DLC weapons are fine. It gives more options for advanced players (the DLC is available past a certain level anyways) and the ash of wars they introduced are really interesting.

My main disappointment is that there are barely any weapons modifiable by ashes of war.

Also, while they introduced new weapon types, these categories are fairly light in choices and since we know this will be the only DLC, I think they could have put more attention to the additional weapon types and choices for them.

I find many of the new things underwhelming compared to what we already had as well and its kindof sad that these types weren't also mixed into the base game world giving us moore choices of build variety earlier.

28 incantations but how many of them are good? One of them does literally 3 damage.

It's about damn time, base game barely had anything of use for FAI users comparing to INT users.

I got boked out from a dragon communion incant animation by a phantom noble in the DLC.

FAI has always been way better than INT. Where are you guys getting this weird idea from?

this, always felt that the base game had so many arcane or int weapons, every time i wanted to try some new incantation or weapon there was some int or arc with maybe some dex sprinkled in the requirements and honestly, those stats are for losers
