Let Me Solo Her ruined the Elden Ring community
Long story short, I was helping a host kill the final boss and he summoned another furled finger, "let me solo him." So I was helping the host kill the boss and suddenly I realized one minute in that I am the only one attacking the boss. The summon and host were just chilling out watching as I was doing abmyssal dmg (I am doing a cosplay build BTW since not everyone is interested in boring bleed meta builds) until I was eventually withered down due to rollback netcode stuttering the game and the triple slash true combo hitting me.After I died, then the summon decided to jump in and do dmg.

Point is, if LMSH didnt exist, this wouldnt have happened. PEople praise him as a hero like he is some kind of wholesome welocming change to the community, but all he did was promote toxicity. PEople like that summon are a direct byproduct of LMSH. I said this since he was famous two years ago and it appears I stand correct to this day.

I am usually not a violent person, but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't deck him with a right hook if I met him IRL.

That's the end of my rant.

I don't think you can attribute that solely to Let Me Solo Her, the host laying back has been a thing since forever. I remember it being particularly bad in DS3

IT's funny because not a single other host did that other than that one time another summon happened to be called "let me solo him."

Let me ask you this: when did you ever see a "let me solo her" or "let me solo him" in DS3?

Did he even play the game during DS3's release? I don't see why that matters, host not doing anything is pretty much a promised experience when being summoned.

I think this type of BS attitude of thinking this games are more than a game and an actual real life achievement is the thing that has destroyed this games.

Why did you engage the boss at all?

This has nothing to do with them, this is a prime example of a False Cause Fallacy, incorrectly assuming that a causal relation exists between two things or events. People sit back because they likely do the same with their spirit summons, they sit back and get some hits in when it feels safe because they like having their spirit tank for them..

So why has this only happened when someone called "let me solo him" joined the lobby? Why did every single host and summon before that moment helped me? It's almost like you all are ♥♥♥♥ riding LMSH or something. Is he your boyfriend and your stickign up for him?

This is the dumbest post. Youre angry because someone didnt play the way you wanted them to.

This kind of ♥♥♥♥ has happened in souls games way before LMSH even existed. the fact that you attribute bad host behavior with some community figure is insane. You are angry at the wrong person. LMSH has had no impact on host behavior you are making things up in your head.

You get a clown.

To break this for my understanding down where is exactly the point that pot head ruin the comunity ?

Cant say for my part that i see pot head so often that it ruined my experince in any relavant scale.
I wouldnt argue with you if the game was overrun by potheads.

The only thing i see is stupid host behavior why bothering summon another dude if you have the luck to have pot head as a summon.

The only thing i see is that your pissed because your time was wasted because the host was some kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Shouldnt you more pissed about the host instead of mr pothead????

Theres an item in your inventory to leave a multiplayer session if things that you don't like are happening.

The solution here was to use it, or stop attack the boss and run towards the host.

I think the problem is that with summons the host has the expectation that every summoned player will just defeat the boss for them while they can stay back not doing anything. It's kind off what happened with pot head at Malenia where the host going in would likely result in them getting killed before LMSH can finish the job.

But what many do not realize is that most summoned players cannot solo a boss like Malenia or Consort Radahn when they have the increase HP from a multiplayer fight. If I'd provide assistance my approach would be to try and play aggro ping-pong while trying to apply scarlet rot when possible. But I'd need the host to be actively involved in the fight (and somewhat know what they're doing) or otherwise this would not work.

Do I blame LMSH for this behavior? Not really. I think he just perfected his fighting style against her and wanted to help as many players as possible while kind-off doing it for content at some point. Players getting the expecation that every summon would do that for them is a problem for them.

No one other than OP is blaming LMSH for not having the host help. The host not helping is a common occurrence. But it's not like you can expect people who even need to resort to summoning to know what to do or how to play a boss.

I am capable of doing it if I had a cheese build. But I didnt have a cheese build to do it with. But my issue is the summon "let me solo him" getting upset if someone touches the boss. Like why do they just not do anything if the boss gets touched by anyone else?

My issue is with the summon "let me solo him" not helping me. Like he just left me to die.
