BSOD: Kernal Mode Trap
Hope the devs sees this cuz nothing pisses me off more than not being able to play a game I paid for.

Ever since the update for the DLC launched, everytime I try to launch the game it blue screens my computer because EAC can't initialize. Every other game I have with EAC DOES NOT DO THIS.

Was hoping the recent patch fixed this, no luck. I've done a lot of research, I know I'm not the only one. I have no idea how to fix it even though I shouldn't have to at this point.

I'm like halfway through the game and can't finish it. I love it but not sure what to do at this point.

If it is the Anti-Cheat giving you trouble, then disabling it & playing offline is the solution. Alternatively if for you it's only the Anti-cheat causing crashes, then if you don't have the DLC it may be scanning your files & breaking when it fails to find the DLC.

I will note that I as you & many others have the crashes occurring often. Even when I apply fixes it's all temporary. They broke the game & will likely take a while to fix it. Similar nonsense happened when it first released then received bad patches.

I have gotten it to work for roughly 30 minutes at a time before the application goes ballistic, again. Best to wait a while till this is all ironed out.

Personally I'll only buy the DLC if they repair the game. I am not one to be strong armed.

EAC gets stick at initialization and just immediately BSOD, idek if disabling it would help my situation. Haven’t played it at all since the post, seen a few updates but nothing pertaining to the issue.

Try the co op mod , it doesnt use EAC and u can still play with other ppl if desired. Its on Nexus.

Can also use this tool to simply fully disable EAC. Be sure to set Elden Ring to full Offline mode first. After toggling EAC off, it stays off until you toggle it back on using this tool.

Good Luck

this BSOD is caused by something that is running at your system with a virtual driver or virtual runtime driver.

if you want i can check with you which application in background could be the cause.

have solved this before
