Hardest DLC boss.
So what boss in the dlc did you think as the hardest?

To me, it HAD to be Bayle, hands down. I thin I'm currently at 0 and 64 on him.

Yes I do it on NG3 and my scadutree is a lowly 17. But I'm still failing.

What was yours?

Consort Redahn, probs. Makes sense since he's the final encounter.

On a technical level, one of the best boss fights From has ever created. Not so much on a lore one.

The final boss was the hardest for me.
I had some problems with Messmer and the guy on a pig but they are not even close to the final boss.
Bayle was surprisingly easy for me and the boss died in second try. I died more to a placydax white dragon.

Radan 2th phase no doubt

Bayle is just dead meat, and pest thread spears are annihilate them with 8.000 damage per cast

Radahn is probably the hardest DLC boss, but he's still not harder than Malenia.
You think Malenia is harder than dlc Radahn?
Without a doubt, her kit is far harder to avoid than Radahn's. If you were to compare 100 duels battles between Radahn and Malenia, you would discover that Radahn is far simpler to learn how to fight against than Malenia because waterfowl takes an absurdly long time to learn how to dodge. Radahn's kit doesn't have nearly as difficult moves since phase two is very similar to phase one. Meanwhile Malenia's phase two adds moves that you have 0 clue what to do against. Scarlet Aeonia, Phantom spirits, etc.

I would have to agree and say Bayle. If only for his massive health pool, and a few attacks that can be really hard to avoid. I thought the Radahn/Miquella final boss fight to be hard until i realized you can just throw on a big shield with a bunch of defense talismans and a spear and just sit there and guard and poke him to death.

That's only in a completely static environment where the player is only dodging. To avoid getting hit by Waterfowl Dance, all you need to do is toss a Frost Pot. Or do any number of other things to knock her out of it. Or just completely outdistance her, or let a summon or co-oper take the aggro. When Radahn starts into a combo, the only thing stopping him is death basically. And you can't even let someone else take aggro and be safe, or outdistance him without sprinting for about the length of his combo in the first place, since he has the massive AoE blasts that launch in every direction and have a very high chance of knocking someone that doesn't hold the aggro and is just trying to heal out.

I mean yeah? And Radahn can be beaten easily with a shield with little brain power, Malenia cannot be cheesed like this. I mean I don't see how this deters from my original point of learning their kits makes Malenia more difficult. If anything it only adds to my point that it takes more knowledge to beat Malenia than Radahn.

I would 100% disagree for one simple reason, Malenia can easily be staggered with normal hits, and pretty easily stunned for a counter attack. Radahn on the other hand has much more variation in his kit but he is also a TANK, that is hard to stun but also cannot be staggered at all with normal attacks.

Malenia imo has ONE move that makes her a threat and that obviously is the Waterfoul dance. Radahn in his 2nd phase has like 3-4 moves that when not perfectly dodged will combo the player with ease, mostly being his air teleport attacks, the aoe after every swing that will lead to combos if you roll the wrong way or get clipped by a linger hitbox. Also Radahn has TONS of new moves that will catch the player off guard in his 2nd phase and most of them are due to his new teleport ablility that was no where to be seen in his 1st phase.

Overall Radahn has way more deadly tools then just one move and the fact that any mistake can lead to devastating damage when up agasint makes him easily much harder> Melania is hard but one you get the trick for that ONE move, she is a piece of cake, and can be bullied like shes a normal enemy due to her very weak poise compared to other bosses.

that doesn't mean you can cheese malenia by staggering her straight to oblivion since she has similar stance hp to a wet paper

The only reason why she's a menace because her atk has livesteal property in it, which is a nightmare for people who relied heavily on tank & spank build like mimic/shield

When you can't ezkill something with 1 build doesn't make it harder in general. Still Consort Radahn has loads of different moveset that easily make every player, mostly solo runner go fight for their live compared to malenia

Let me put it like this. If a player wanders into each arena completely blind and starts throwing random bullsh*t out, they have a much much higher chance of lucking into beating Malenia first try than they do Radahn. Still not a good chance or anything, but certain builds that people would actually use for clearing areas are good for Malenia, while the cheese strat for Radahn is full unbridled turtle, which isn't fun or usual for fighting normal enemies with.

You sure? Because Fingerprint Shield and poke still works to cheese her.

Malenia is super easy compared to radahn. Id take Waterfowl Any day over dealing with the absolute mess that IS phase 2 radahn. You can stun malenia (except If she is going to attack you), her combos are easily avoidable and predictable and its easier to get the crit damage.

You mean the cheese that still requires you to roll her attacks? It remains absolutely impossible to not roll her lunge grab and her scarlet aeonia.
