ELDEN RING
Yeah if the next game has spirit summons I'll just skip
Midra is honestly a spectacle, and his fair telegraphs make him seem like a classic souls boss

But trying to learn him solo just makes health flasks pointless, either I dodge two or three combos to heal and keep learning, or I try to outright no-hit the boss

Since the game has buffs for the Mimic included in the DLC I might as well use it, and that way yeah the difficulty goes down to Dark Souls levels, but the satisfaction of basically roflstomping Midra because there's two of me is just not there, instead I could be banging my head in Frenzy and maybe in 2 hours feel accomplished.

Divine Dancing Lion felt kinda ass since the camera was his 4th element, but man that fight at least felt like an old boss where healing wasn't outright pointless.

Maybe Midra was supposed to be the "Orphan of Kos" of this game? But the Spirit Summons just dunk that idea to the ground.

Even in videogames you can use a thing we people of culture call "logic". If you happen to fight a dude literally on-fire......what is the most logical thing to do?.....freeze his ass.

Midra is the Malenia (P1) of Shadow of the Erdtree, keep spamming ANYTHING causing frostbite and you will chain stun him with or without summons....ok summon the big mouth imp to watch it die in 5 seconds.

Of course if you care about your "honor" and want to do this in the most chivalrous/pious way posible just beat him with the power of GOD.....i mean...holy damage.

Good luck and raise your focus with certain pieces of armor if you are having troubles with the madness.

People acting like mimic tear is the only summon, and/or they all magically start at +10.
Well they all pull aggro from you, which will always make bosses significantly easier no matter what the summon actually does, and this discussion is talking about the DLC so you really should have them at max level by that point.

There are dozens of builds that can trivialize the game without using spirit summons. Just watch all those youtube videos where someone is killing Radahn in 30 seconds.\
The game is as hard as you want it to be.
You seem to think that dodge rolling with a 2h weapon is the correct way to play, but it's just one of them.

If you die before you can heal its intended. ER bosses are mainly designed such that you have to choose to either heal or attack during an actual opening. This is the reason nearly every boss has a way to instantly gap close and punish your heal attempt if you do it at the wrong time.

Why would I want to trivialize the game? I just explained why I don't want to use spirit ashes because of that exact reason.

As said, a middle ground for the difficulty would be nice. Spirit ashes and fingerprint builds are not that middleground.

I had a great time with Midra.
I fought him with my Greatsword using the Deflecting Hardtear.
His moveset looked pretty chaotic at first, but it really isn't that bad.

I took a few knocks but still had plenty of time to heal, I think.

The only thing that made radahn fun lol, wish it was a trait tied to specific weapons or something instead of a crystal tear, could make rapiers and great katanas feel badass to use.
I would prefer if From didn't but it all depends..regardless idk what they would do with the franchise from here...seems like they capped everything out

The only real option would be to add filler DLC to ER but we all know that ain't happening. I would love a covenant DLC

♥♥♥♥! My eyes rolled so hard they fell out. Now there's dust and cat hair all over them.

OP is having trouble with boss.

Doesn't want to use tool because tool won't give satisfaction.

Upset that game has the tool.

My mind is boggling at the mental gymnastics it takes to be upset here.

Respect my dude, finally a enjoyable video with the boss doing proper damage.

The least i can do is to share my third Midra kill in DANTE MUST DIE NG+.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3284313947

Flasks....i heal myself with my own hands....rather dying than DRINKING crimson tears.

At the end of the day having fun is all what matters also.....look how useful the new "BeST ZuMoNZ" Taylew is......Now to help some randoms killing their Midra!

People acting like there's literally anything better and that it's hard to +10 things in this game
