The fire golems with leg armours are the stupidest boss mechanic I've seen in a game.
I've already beat one at the start, now I found out there is another one, great, who doesn't love a good copy paste.
Now the funny thing is, to make it better, this boss can only be killed with hefty fire pots that can be crafted with a limited amount of resources.
Meaning basically, if you want to kill this boss, but you miss/fail enough time, or have used your finite amount of cracked pots, you're hardlocked into beating it.
Except if you respect into a more range build and hit it in the face.
You could also use lower level pots, but doing only 100 damages at a time, you're at least good for 2-3 hours of fight and that's if you don't die beforehand.

So no only does this boss require a specific style of play, but you also have a limited amount of changes and the fight is basically boss spams fireballs, you hide, you hopefully it him with a cracked pot and repeat until dead.

Btw you can also use the hefty cracked pots for other things, which is really dumb considering you get severely punished for this boss if you used them all before.

Yeah but limited in inventory space, that should be the message not that I don't have enough materials. Now that I cleared my inventory of space I can craft more....

ok, weird. I suppose, it's about crafted items? How many things have you crafted?
It was just a matter of inventory space, make space fixed my issue.

makes sense now, it seemed like something a new player would say so I assumed it was not about the DLC

I just bonked their legs with milady ice passive, when they get staggered they are down for so long!

Furnace Visage can be found at the husk of a dead Fire Golem at the east side of the Shadow Keep. They spawn regularly and drop from random enemies there. Don't worry. They're absolutely NOT limited.

Edit: the amount of morons who can't read and say just hit its legs are astounding. It's ARMORED Fire Golem. You can only attack its face or its basket.

Wrong fire pots. You should be using the furnace tornado pots that you find the cookbook for at the start of the game.

Check under the bridge that is near the very first cross. There is a building in there that contains it. Those pots will kill a furnace golem in three hits. It's also what you need to kickstart a extinguished one

I know I've used the strongest ones, that's not the issue, the issue was not being able to craft them due to lack of inventory space, which has now been fixed.

They're optional enemies, you don't have to kill them at all. Also, hefty cracked pots are not a finite resource, you can't "use them up".
He ran out of the 'other' ingredients needed to craft more, is what he's saying. :P
On a different note, anybody think of throwing some black flame into the furnace? Or maybe a volcano pot?

You get a deathblow chance after a dozen hits just work your legs as with any big boss; nice and easy.

The furnace pots are the best, but you can also use the fire pots. It's 5 fire post vs 3 furnace pots or somethiing. I didn't test other ones.

again, there are some other golems, with armor around the legs, where this strategy doesn't work.

The responses in this thread should suffice in providing merit to the argument that there should be an IQ requirement to procreate.

are surely not limited
5 pots should be enough

4. 3 if you have a good aim.

OP: you can also use the fire pots from lower tiers (not hefty). They still work. You just need more of them.

Stupid thread, you need 3 furnace pots to kill a wicker golem. Just 3. If you used those up for something else, hefty firepots also work, but you will need more of those.

1) those are not limited, just craft more if failed.

2) the one at the start is not armored, ehm?

Yeah i find them pretty stupid. It's like you are restricted to using only pots to kill them.
One of those "Do our gimmick" to kill a enemy.
