Armor saves lives
Every time I think my armor is useless and I am still taking a ton of damage, I look over at the host of fingers and see that they take 3/4th of their healthbar in damage from a hit while I take a measley quarter, Armor in my take has been good in every souls game, whats your take on armor?

What's much more important than how much it helps protect you is how stylish it looks.

Erdtree sentinal armor looks great and gives the full 35% protection

Armors are useless specially with the kind of bosses the DLC has lol

"Full" 35%? There are other armors that give more protection than Erdtree. Erdtree is good because it lets you get above 100 poise w/BGT while being relatively light compared to other armor sets.

Even with my fashion based armor that isn't going for stats and completely ignores resistances, it's still increasing my EHP by 44%. That's turning a 3 hit kill into a 4 or 5 hit kill and basically increasing the amount of estus that I have by 44%.

tbh armor is just visuals for me, fashion hurts! i feel dmg difference is extremely low; i have worn "heaviest" armor in game when facing Godfrey as summon, taken *about same* damage wearing just loincloth - nothing so much I could easily tell. in PVP situation i wear enough just for poise so can land my hits on invaders.

Fashion in general, but if i get stomped by a certain boss, i equip a suitable armor to tank his stuff.

I really doubt you can't tell the difference between having 60% more health or not. You expect me to believe that you can't tell the difference between dying in 2 or 3 hits and dying in 4 or 5?

Either you don't have enough vigor to be able to tell the difference or you just didn't really pay attention.
At 60 vigor the difference between cloth and heavy armor is massive, hits that would remove 25-33% HP in heavy armor now take half your HP, you go from a 3 or 4 hits to die to 2, it's like wearing both soreseals and a scorpion talisman (then again there's people saying there's no difference wearing those talismans or not...)
