When you beat the boss, he is praying with two arms. However, he changed his form to resemble Ranni's doll form after being inspired by the Snowy Crone Witch.

Miyazaki hinted at the relationship with Ranni and Miquella when Ranni gives the Spirit Calling Bell to the player after inspecting to see if we had torrent. Since Torrent was formerly in the possession of Miquella, I suspect Miquella was also somewhat inspired by either Ranni or the Snowy Crone when choose his new form.

Some Arms are transparent in the Final Boss Fight. He has his left arm missing and is physical. He has 2 transparents and one Physical right arm.

Oh yeah, his upper hands are the real ones, and the lower ones are like.. Made of light or something. And the hand that is missing is the real one, not the "grossly incandescent" one.

Wait, does this mean, that the NPC's we are encountering in the DLC are basically Miquella's "body parts" he's throwing around the map. (Which are conveniently placed near crosses)
