swift flintstone shard is my signature spell. prince of death staff is highest dps even after dlc but you need faith too.
radagon icon is a must for serious pure casters.
I'll edit this comment with more spells & corrected names later but off the top of my head Bestial Sling, Catch Flame, Stone of Gurranq, the lightning from above & the similar looking miracle, Force, & WotG, are good miracles. Good spells include all the melee ones (carian slicer, greatsword, piercer, that hammer, etc), a simple missile like comet, crystal soulmass, those delayed missiles, the barrage of 3 or 6 missiles, and the mortar.
i understand. i also pointed out the ragequits in arena - which is pvp. people will die 3x and dc. if i meet them again they might try a round or two but eventually i never see them again probably because i get blocked.
Force is Rejection, WotG is Wrath of Gold (lol), the two lightning miracles are Honed Bolt & Lightning Strike, and other good miracles are the various Aspects of the Crucible, Black Blade, Fortisssax's Lightning Spear, Death Lightning (by surprise only), any fireball variants (Flame Sling, Giantsflame Take Thee, Black Flame), Scouring Black Flame, Black Flame Ritual, Swarm of Flies, Bloodflame Talons, Bloodboon, and that Malenia one I don't have (by surprise only).
Crystal Soulmass is Glintblade Phalanx, Carian Phalanx, or Greatblade Phalanx. The delayed missiles are Magic Glintblade & Glintblade Trio. The barrage of missiles are Glintstone Stars & Star Shower. The mortar is Cannon of Haima. Other good sorceries include Loretta's Greatbow, Magic Downpour (kinda), Carian Retaliation, Shard Spiral, Glintstone Arc, the two Briars if you're built for them, and the magma spells.
i also want to point out spell orders. the way you set your spells can mean life or death, especially if your opponent is good.
for example: ancient rancorall is followed up by carian slicer. most good players realize they have a window to roll forward and beat you up if they get close - you use ancient to pressure them forward and your very next spell is a quick slicer. insane dmg in quick succession. but wait they have heavy poise - put piercer behind slicer to easily switch next - piercer gives you breathing room -and more space than slicer - as they come in but will poise break most if not all people and reset your distance.
or you’re in an elevator or hall, use fia mist to get space, only the experienced players aren’t afraid of death bar because it’s only instant death on full bar obviously. your spell order matters. it’s not like we just spam to win, which often works, but a lot of the times we casters are putting more thought into it than simply sprint, crouch, poke. imo the pokes are more effective because good players know they can trade.
i love all those pvp youtube videos but so much of those successful invasions would be countered by a mage in the party. you can literally babysit a noob with just force, a relatively cheap spell level wise, on a typical elevator ambush.
Healers are exceptionally powerful.
I posted a video lately about a guy who let spirit ashes solo the dlc by spamming full heal spells.
