Possible actual power of bosses.

Are there any of you who often make hypotheses over how strong bosses would be if they were not injured or weakened in any way, in their prime, like Placidusax, Maliketh, Bayle, Radahn, Malenia, Radagon etc. or is it only me?

DLC technically answers your question of Radahn in his prime and you arguably fight Malenia in her "prime" (giving in to the scarlet rot, which she's only done for Radahn before you). Not sure about Malekith because once again you kinda fight him in his prime with him deciding to whip out destined death again.

But yeah, a reoccurring theme of fromsoft games is treating your character like dirt pretty much "these bosses were so cool, you'd never stand a chance if they were at 100%"

While Maliketh doesn't have the full death rune to OHKO you straight up, he isn't that "weakened" is he?

And Malenia only holds back on Scarlet Aeonia, other than that she's also capable, if she used her full Rot God powers she would turn Haligtree into Caelid 2.0

I always feel they're a lesser version of their peak state. Maliketh is equipping the broken rune of death, what is left which he has inserted into his skin so nobody steals from him again. It is said I think that the complete rune would grant death to any being. DLC Radahn I don't know much about, not sure if it's the actual Radahn revived in a sense, or Miquella's version of what Radahn would be. I'll look into it once I get there.

On another note, I believe Malenia was at some point not afflicted by Rot, since Rot precedes her, so the version you deal with is the one afflicted already. Ofcourse Rot is also her kind of power up so.. no idea what her previous state would be. But thinking of Placidusax, or Bayle the Dread without looking like a chicken with full wings and legs and everything, makes us indeed feel incompetent. Spot on with that fromsoft remark.

I can only hypothesize for what the power of the complete rune would be.. but I know people have speculated it would grant death to any god, thus why it was so feared. Now it cannot grant that. But as a being, he is indeed as strong as ever, aside not being able to deal death.
