Both are good.
Flame Skewer gives you a short lived firebuff, that would be beneficial to your fire/flame infusion's fire damage.

Giant Hunt doesn't give you a buff, but has utility in form of being able to send "smaller" enemies (e.g. Malenia) flying and (i believe) higher poise damage.

I usually go for utility, since it suites my playstyle better, but your style might be different from mine.

You might also just consider a nice, simple Impaling Thrust.

It's a very powerful art. Cheap on the FP and pretty quick.

well i have lions claw on my other claymore so i can use that for stance dmg and it flattens small/medium enemies

does it have more rnage than the standart r2 stab from the claymore?

Since you´re fire you could try flame spear. It´s pretty much the impaling thrust for fire enthusiasts.
