Okay, then I can release any broken product I want but it's okay because I'll just fix it whenever I feel like it after folks have already paid for it.
Sounds like a great precedent.
even if you may not have been doing that it was still a bug
the perfume bottles didn't even get a pvp change only swift slash did and that's because it was nearly an infinite combo
but the bottle, smithscript weapons and i think one other all got fixed because the damage values were bugged and didn't scale right
i'm sorry the weapon you liked got changed but when it's broken they will probably patch it
They changed the rolling sparks ash to only apply one instance of damage. That is a change in pve and pvp. If they patched all the other broken things in the game this wouldn't even be a discussion. The ash is the only complaint point people had.
and it is a pvp & pve change i agree but that's not a nerf
and they did patch some of the other broken thing the other stuff just might not be as problematic
smithscript was doing way to much damage according to it's base so they fixed that
the blood fiend arm was doing 200+ bleed proc and we know that was a bug so they got fixed
swift slash was dominating pvp and causing problem so they did nerf that
the bottles weren't broken them selves but the ash of war was bugged and that's why it did all that damage
Watch out. You're going to have some smooth brains on your ass for that one. Touch their beloved builds or give someone something that is close to as good as their thing and the world ends lol
I could still use any number of things, including the nerfed swift slash, and destroy anyone using pre patch bottles. If that was not the case then there wouldn't be an issue. And if it is that it was not intended, then that is just a bad decision and should have been identified as a good thing and kept in. Maybe just adjust the numbers on it if anything.
I guess my point is that there have been numerous things that effectively have the same result as pre patch bottles and they have never taken a second look at them despite countless people calling for it. Then we get about a week with these and it gets changed when there are countless videos of thorn destroying bosses and players alike from complete safety/range. If beating bosses in that few attacks is the issue, then remove/nerf in to the ground everything that does comparable damage. If it is just a pvp issue, then that is easily address with balances to damage applied to players just like everything else in the game already does. But even then, I can do multiple different one shot build that are harder to avoid than a bottle storm that you literally have to walk in to or get staggered (for which you are dead either way already)
Either nothing one shots, or multiple things can. The "git gud" comments people say would be reasonable if there were a variety of build path options to take that can one shot. There is balance when nothing is op and balance when everything is op. But instead they stay at a certain level to maximize their chances against people they are invading, optimize their stats for a one shot build, and rush all the spells/items they need for it and then cry about the bottles. Maybe they just need a bottle of their own
