Just go in with a learning attitude. The bosses have limited moves so you will be able learn them

Well, I would point you in the direction Dark Souls Remastered firstly. It's a fantastic game. The thing about Fromsoft is that they have slowly been making each game harder than the last so Elden Ring is quite tough.

That said, because Elden Ring is openworld it is easier than ever to outlevel the content, even if it is a more difficult game when it comes to enemy design. That said, you will eventually find resistance near the end no matter how much leveling and upgrading you do.

Still plenty of people do just fine at Elden Ring as their first venture into the games and there are some additional features to make the experience easier.

Whatever your choice, there's tons of humans willing to offer advice myself included.

First things first though, level your health stat and upgrade your weapons. That always contributes to your survivability and power.

It's only natural for you to suck at the game when you're starting out. Only with time you'll learn the mechanics and how to steamroll through everything

Elden Ring was my first souls game and I arrived in it as an RPG player. I won't lie, I outright sucked at first.

However, Elden Ring is a full open world. Meaning when I got stuck on a bosss or location I found too difficult, I backtracked a bit and explored. I found new/better gear, new talismans, upgrades to my potions and so on.

This naturally leveled me up and allowed me to learn the different mechanics like dodging, blocking, block counters, using skillss and sspells.

What I mean is we all suck at first but if you get stuck somewhere, just go back a bit and explore more, there is a lot to find at locations and even away form them ont he vast map.
There's nothing wrong playing with a shield and using a poking weapon to beat enemies. If you find yourself struggling with a boss maybe try switching up your weapon type and try a different combat style.

The base game (excluding the DLC where this doesn't really apply), is only as hard as you allow it to be.
There are ways to mitigate the difficulty of your fights, and ways to improve your prowess quickly and cheaply.
The "problem", if we want to call it as such, is that the Elden Ring experience lays in the edge between refusing as many crutches as possible, and still winning the game.

There are so many tools to make the game a cake walk.. dont worry..

If something is to hard just summon a player or a npc or ashes. They will do the dirty work for you.

Then you can come here and open a thread how easy the game was.
