Weapon grease question. Why does "Holy" grease NOT permanently kill undead?
I'm curious, because holy pots that you can throw will kill a skeleton outright and prevent them from reviving, however, when you use the grease it just does a little extra damage.

I've not tried using a spell variation of holy weapons yet, but I'm going to assume unless it's the sacred blade AoW, the spells likely don't permanently defeat things like Skeletons either?

There's only a select few spells that have such an effect. Even holy incantations don't permanently kill undead unless the spell clarifies that in the description to my knowledge.
because apparently its not HOLY damage that perma kills them, but very specific spells and weapon arts.

Personally i think any holy damage should work, but this is how it works. If you have the golden epitaph sword. You can actually buff yourself switch to another weapon and kill them that way.

I used this in some of the DLC areas and has worked well enough.

Holy =/= Undead haters. It is the golden order fundamentalists who are keen on removing defiled reason and therefore, their weapons and incantations kill the undead once and for all.
