Recovery if you don't want to allocate points.
Have you noticed you can go below 0 endurance, meaning recovery of any takes longer than as if from 0. Seems if you have a sliver, that'll left you go one hit that takes you below 0.
So recovery speed will help for that, as well as bar refill as normal, you can't do anything with your weapon in that state.
There's also a turtle shield that gives you stamina Regen, you can wear it on your back if you 2 hand halberds.
More points is more equip weight too. Heavier armor, or freeing you from iron jar or other weight improvers.
enemy posture wont get reset instantly, you can def regain like half your stamina, then continue and eventually get the poise. Or regain a very small amount, but time a charge heavy attack( will prob get the break if the rest of the time was also spent smashing good poise). another option is throwing knife, just to keep the poise bar busy while there is distance, or rest... but even w out that, just continue frequent counters, the poise break will come.
interms of short term gains, stamina recovery speed will beat adding points in endurance.
In the long run, when you want heavy armor and heavy weapon.... def invest in more endurance.
