the game crashes on startup...?

so i've just recently updated the game so i can also play the dlc although i'm only just 22 hours in. a couple days back right after the update, the game pretty much crashed on startup like five times and after that it runs well for around an hour before it finally crashed again. i didn't think much of that one crash since i thought it's probably my laptop specs not strong enough to run the game with the dlc. for note i have an rog zephyrus g14 series with 8gb ram, amd radeon, and nvidia gtx 1650. a few months back i can even run the game normally for 6 hours but ever since the dlc release it keeps crashing like hell. last night i tried to boot it up again because i wanted to try the seamless co-op mod with my boyfriend. his game worked just fine with the mod and mine immediately crashed as it entered the white flashbang screen. i've tried cleaning my temp files and it brought me to the bandai namco screen before crashing again to square one. my graphics drivers are also already updated to the newest versions and just now i've tried tampering with the .dll files to see if anything works (nothing works sadly). verified the game multiple times and it's still nothing. i'm kind of in an extreme dead end here and i have no idea on what i should do with this. and also i think my elden ring game files were sort of broken too before i updated and reinstalled the game? steam said it's still 48gb installed on my computer driver but i couldn't find the files anywhere and the game folder was empty. but weirdly it still took space in my drivers, probably got hidden or something. i genuinely have no idea why this happened to my game... i just wanted to play together with my boyfriend man. if anyone here can help me with my issue i would be so so grateful!! thanks again =)
