Youre Wrong About Throwing Daggers
This is why I do my own dmg testing and largely ignore group think or community assumptions.

Requirements for optimal throwing knife dmg.

1. 70 dex for S scaling in dlc
2. Blue dancers charm (light weapon buff)
3. Smiths talisman (throwing buff)
4. Golden Vow Ash (dmg buff)

Boom done now your dual wield r1 for 1000 dmg at range with like 0 frames.

Cool we done hating in dlc weapons or do I need to keep disproving every other community assumption?

Weapon weighs 1 pound it makes logical sense to use blue dancer for a massive dmg buff on a low dmg throwing weapon.

You can use your other talisman slots for pearldrake +3 and dragon crest great shield for better resistance then a lot of armor sets can get you.

Blue dancer charm is total equipment weight not weapon weight. Meaning all of your armor counts too. You have to be naked to get the full effect of it. And even then, the talisman itself has weight which reduces the damage bonus it gives.

yeah can you do one of these for the great katana and the dryleaf arts too please?

Yes my character is wearing a noble skirt and prisoner shirt with 65 resistances at 12 shards.

It's basically the equivalent of max weight armor.

Also I confirmed thorny cracked tear works with daggers so more free dmg.

The reality is and I don't want to say this is that the only people who don't understand the dlc weapons are good basically can't RPG without an established build laid out for them.

Which all the vanilla weapons already have.

SL 150 BTW.

Yeah, or you could just hit for over 1000 while wearing heavy armor and full defense talismans. Guard counters in particular can do like 3-4k with certain weapons, and deal a massive amount of stagger.

Every weapon is obviously playable. But not all weapons are made equal. I think the smithscript daggers are pretty clearly one of the weaker ones. At least for pve, that might be useful in pvp.

If we want to push dmg further and lose resistance talismans claw talisman is an auto include.

Jumping r2s hitting for 1200 to 1300.

Then we push further with spear talisman so whenever an enemy attacks and we peg them with a knife it's gonna hurt like hell.

Boom worst dlc weapon hits for 1500.

At range like an arrow while you're fast rolling and jumping around.

if your weight is over 15 , dancer charm is not worth it.
If your weight in dlc is 15 you are dead.

Post video of it.
The trow range is too short , you might as well use a whip

Seems like there are much easier and safer ways to get 1000 damage at a further range that track better, or just do more damage/stance damage/etc. How does this option's opportunity cost and versatility compare to... I dunno, Ice Spear? People still use that? Is Glintstone Pebble still good? Transient Moonlight still hits like a truck... In PvE, would you rather use this or just, like, Impaling Thrust on anything you can put it on?

Someone else will do it for me, maybe the same guy who was doing 700 dmg with a short bow.

Is my 1500 with throwing daggers that hard to believe?

I listed my stats, my ash, my talismans.

The whole thing is replicatable, there's an entire community of video makers who can unstupify themselves and just do the exact same thing I did.

Funny how a post about throwing daggers is mostly about the blue dancer talisman now.

Yeah, the range is terrible for pve even.

Like logically speaking say an optimized bow build does 700 with each shot I should be dealing 1400 by throwing two daggers when you include everything I've outlined up above.

Because my scaling isn't complete garbage at an S which means less bending over backwards to optimize.
