DLC final boss may be the best designed boss of this entire game, fight me
I have actually been more of a critic of this DLC, and I still think that the way they implemented challenge in a lot of bosses feels more cheap and tedious than challenging and rewarding, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. DLC Radhan may be the peak essence of what Elden Ring boss is supposed to be.

I was fighting him with a heavy bonk stick on Arcane build, and I had a very short range in general. His attacks are wonderfully telegraphed, his switchups are different yet reactable, and with some effort he can actually be manipulated into giving you a breather. Almost all of his moves (almost) are reactable, but you need to use all of your arsenal, sprinting, dodging and blocking.

But when I truly fell in love with his design is actually exactly because of his BS in phase 2. I came close to killing him a few times solo, but felt like I am dying a bit to much to things beyond my control, so (and this is where gatekeeping tears start to fow) I tried summoning right before second phase. I can not emphasize this enough, this boss just clicks so well when he has 2 targets, its actually hard to explain.
In Dark Souls series, when you learned the boss you could control the fight, you could decide almost how to steer the boss the way you liked to get yourself openings. And with Radhan, when you add yourself a tool in the form of tactically giving up aggro, you get a full kit of tools to react to everything he does.

This boss hits the sweetspot so well, fighting Radhan with my clone felt like fighting Gael in Dark Souls 3 solo, I felt literal nostalgia fighting him.

And to "git gudders" that will inevitably flock on the mere mention of summons: cry about it
You are not impressing anyone just because you had patience to wait for a solo attempt where the boss happened to use the moves that fit you, and I can bet more than half of you were using builds taken from social media. This DLC is much more fun with a summon at your side.

Summon is a part of the game and it gives you extra help but some people don't want extra help. I just beat him last night with blessing lvl 15 with a great katana, and no summon. It took me 7 hours in 2 sections to beat him. I could summon and let mimic kill him for me but I probably would feel cheated if I did so.

Some people are just used to the old DS formula where there's no summon, no NPC to help you, you git gud and beat the game by yourself.
I don't understand a point you're making. I am not denying anyones right to go without summon, but whining about a boss because its wrongly balanced for your challenge run is just entitled and childish. Playing this game with no summons is a challenge run, deal with it
I'm not whining about people getting extra help if they need, I'm just saying there're people that are used to do it by themselves. I refuse to summon no matter how hard the boss is unless it summons adds. The final boss can be beaten without summon, it's just you have to have luck and patience at the same time.
