Finding all the Scooby Snacks really does make the game easier......somewhat.
It's a fun mini game to hunt them down along with the Revered Ash upgrades to make your run through the DLC much easier. Worth doing and exploring the world just to find those.

I still can't believe this is a DLC. This thing is huge. 40 hours into it and I've only beat 3 major bosses. Black knight commander Andreas maxed out, golden sign summon Redmane Freyja and scarlett rot breath totally cheesed the hungry hungry hippo btw. Loving it so far.

*Update*
Well I beat the final boss but it was not fun. I say the last 25 percent of the DLC was not fun, and I was just trying to finish and get it over with. I had max Scadutree fragment buff and Ash summon buff for last boss, and I couldn't imagine doing it with less. I tip my hat to those that did it with zero fragments. You are what legends are made of. After 20+ tries on the end boss with my caster I felt I was forced into a meta tank build I found online just to finish it out. The first 75% of the DLC was amazing to explore, but after that I found myself just trying to end it. It may have been the size of the DLC that burnt me out, but It made me miss the main game and I can't wait to go back.....and keep my butt there.

If Fromsoft had slapped an Elden Ring 2 title on this and called it a sequel I would easily believe them with the size and detail. I spent an easy 60+ hours just up to the point I started rushing for the end of the DLC. I found 80% of the spells and items and I'm happy with that. I don't see me coming back to the DLC for a long long time, LOL.

I still give it a 10/10 just for the fact that I can't believe they came up with this in 2 years. There is so many details other devs should be ashamed even calling their main game a game compared to this. (I'm eyeing you Microthesda....)

Trying the DLC on NG+ is definitely not in my future. I'm sure others will love it though. Safe travels.

That's the whole point. People say that you can actually find 12 lvls of scadutree without fighting a single boss which will make dlc significantly easier. It's just some personalities who want to rush the content for no reason and get stomped by everything.

I found all after the final boss just for completion sake, but I had 17.
IDK what people find so confusing about this system, your base game lvl 150 is lvl 0 DLC.

It's basically the same problem as ADP. One of the biggest criticism of Dark Souls 2 is ADP, a mandatory stat that is more valuable than any other. Then comes this DLC with these fragments, a mandatory loot more valuable than any other.

Hey all the more power to ya if you wanna do a level 0 fragment run. As long as you don't push your leetism on other players its all cool. The bosses will/have cheesed me in the DLC so far, and I don't feel bad doing it right back if I get the chance. Get to the credits how ever you can.

But it costs nothing to pick it up?

Costs time for sure. Also forces "exploration" on your 100000th run.

It doesnt stop lying, its already been proven that new game+ you already have all the fragments you looted in ur previous run. Unless you're talking about a completely new save, and if so then the same argument can be used for golden seeds, smithing stones, sacred tears etc.

Some duder made a map of how to get 12 upgrades before fighting any bosses... like... the game is as hard as you make it.

Leveled to 17 without specifically looking for them, so IDK, seemed pretty streamlined to me.

It costs killing the last giant or dragonrider or whoever you go to first in ds2 to instantly get enough.

Wow, you have to kill the last giant or dragonrider in DS2 in order to pick up a Scadu fragment in ER? Because that's what Napalm was talking about.

actually it's around 15 without fighting literally any bosses, 16ish when you unlock the access to Jagged peak via killing 1 mini boss

Dumbest analogy I've ever heard. One of them cost souls, and levels which limit your options for a decent build if you're staying within the meta range. The other is....an item you pick up...
