try to play together and progress together.
another thing can be that you also need to reach the altus plateau and that counts for both players and having atleast 1 grace unlocked in the altus plateau region. just activating the dectus lift isnt enough.
or just quickly talk to him in single player, go down, and re-open your game.
like in one of the DLC goals moves the lift down to the bridge only for 1 player, so you have to go down solo with the pot and then re-opening the world again on the bottom x3.
If you've beaten Radahn and the festival is still there with the castle all locked up, use the teleporter and the castle returns to the "explorable state", with the festival over. And yes, you'll be able to get the whet blade then. :)
I've been exploring seamless with a friend and it's AWESOME. Minus the few bugs that it has, it's way better than playing co-op in base game. If anyone wants to hang out in either seamless 1.9 (up to 6 players) or BETA 2.0 (up to 127 players), let's GO.
Point of caution using seamless. If a boss or monster drops loot directly on the ground and you die before you loot it, it's gone forever. So, the alien guy (Alabaster Lord?) in the sea of rot before Astel is one of those. Make sure to kill them together and loot it before you die if you care about the loot. OR, if your friend gets it and doesn't care about it, maybe they'll trade it to you.
I've also had a problem with the bloodflame enchant not dropping for my friend even though I got it.
A couple of times, I loaded into my friends game and I'd already killed the free runes dragon and it just popped in his game and gave us all the runes without doing anything. Another time, he'd killed the Night Cavalry guy and I went to that spot and just got the flail for doing nothing. Really funny and actually cool bugs, because I really don't care about a lot of the side stuff at this point. Just give me the stuff and let me cook builds.
So, seamless is great for interruption free and immersive gameplay with friends, but there are some loot and quest/NPC talking issues. If you haven't explored the questlines fully, I wouldn't recommend it. If you've already destroyed the game almost 3 years ago and you just want to kick it with friends while having an awesome D&D experience, then seamless is MOST DEF, THE WAY.
Hit me up and we'll game!
