is there a way to cheese the elden beast?

I've played the game with a melee build and i'm just sick and tired of the boss swimming and teleporting away the moment i get a hit in.

Any way to cheese it out? i'm close to just making a mage with mimiic tear just to get it over with.

FotR has been nerfed for over a year by now, might want to get caught up with the tweaks

Flame of the Redmanes, but it doesn't do anywhere near the poise damage it once did.

You have a black flame tornado ash of war from the godskin duo fight. Slap that on any melee weapon of your choice and you only need to land a few hits to take him down. The best opening is when he does his "1 2 3" combo melee attack and you can just let the ash rip for the full time.

It works great regardless of level or upgrade on the weapon too. It's my go to way to bring him down quickly on my level 1 runs.

Torrent is now able to be used in the Elden Beast fight after the last patch. It's almost too easy to just ride and avoid it's attacks and get closer. Made the fight trivial really.
