Question about stats for quality builds.
I'm in the DLC, finished the game already, and I'm level 183. I have 72 strength and 71 dexterity, and I'm wondering if it's worth going for 80/80 or to just respec, go for 60/60, and put more stats into mind and endurance. If you want to give an answer below, I will not be listening to people who say "quality bad change build", all I want to know is if 80/80 is worth it and if not what's the highest my strength and dex should be for quality.

It's a weird question, "worth it" comes into play if you're looking to optimize into something specific, or directly comparing to something else. You don't seem to be restricting yourself to any meta level and you said you don't care about how efficient quality is so, sure, why wouldn't you go for 80/80? May as well go for 99/99.

I mean, I am kinda hoping to finish off at level 200, even though it'll take a while without farming.

I loved quality builds in DS3, especially Chaos/Dark builds. Wish quality were more viable that doesn't require absurd high level to make it viable. But since you are quite high level, why not.

Yea, I don't see why quality had to be nerfed so much.

So if you're looking at 200 being max level, you have exactly enough levels left to get both to 80. Basic math is basic. But we still don't know what your health looks like, whether you plan to use a shield or heavy armor, if you're going to be casting at all, or anything else really.

Larval tears for respecing aren't infinite, but they are a dime a dozen. Plenty of them all over the game to tweak around builds or swap to something totally different if you want. So if you're having trouble staying alive, sure respec for more health and less damage. Same deal if you're running out of stamina a bit more often than is comfortable, or if you just wanna nerf your damage a little because it's been feeling too easy. If you're not aiming for some PvP nonsense, do what you want

I found all of them in base game, but not in DLC, also that is why i wanted to end off at 200. In terms of armor, I am running zamor mask, hoslows armor (altered), hoslows gauntlets, and scaled greaves

plug your stuff into an online calculator, but there's a point of diminishing retruns that you are already well past. Getting to 80 80 will likely only give you like 20 more damage which sounds like a waste of time. Bosses in the DLC are so active I would probably pump endurance a bit because I find myself running out of stamina sometimes because there are a lot of attacks that you can outrun or also sprint attacks are really useful against these faster enemies.

yeah, i am doing some math rn on EIP, and I'm ethier gonna go 60/60 and more endurance, or 80/80.

Okay everyone;

I did some calculations on a build calculator, a quality +25 Longsword with 80/80 gets 630 dmg, 60/60 on the same weapon gets 599, and 55/55 gets 586. So now I'm thinking that I could go 55/55, and keep vigor at 60, but increase endurace to 50, and mind to 38, which ends off at level 204 which i'm fine with. This does not even include talismans, so the new two-handed talisman, rotten sword insignia, and alexander shard would prolly make up for everything.

Planning to use Greatshields? 50 end is quite alot, if not, i would recommend some faith for buffs. It helps alot.

Souls gives diminishing returns. You would be doing yourself a disservice and in fact likely already are by not being 60/60 str/dex with the rest of your points in 60 vig, 40 end, 20+ mind if you are spamming skills. You could even pump in some ARC to give yourself even more weapon choices that scale well with quality.

In terms of mobs... Min/Max really doesn't matter. You are already powerful enough at SL150 to do NG+7.

My greatshield build I am currently solo carrying people through Radahn with is only 38 endurance.

38 mind? For what? You don't really have anything in int/faith it looks like. Swapping out one or two estus for mana regen should give more than enough fp for weapon skills esp considering some of the talismans for regen. I'd knock 10-15 off that and put it somewhere that will actually make spells available to be cast. Or maybe use the points to hit some min req's on weapons.
