So where's Godwyn?
Wasn't Miq's stated goals to essentially cure both Malenia and Godwyn, and yet unless I missed something Godwyn isn't mentioned anywhere in the DLC

Why wasn't Godwyn the one revived as the promised consort? not only would that have been a completely new boss but it would've given Godwyn a moment to shine in the narrative, even if just as a final boss.

Because Miquella made the deal with Radhan, and Godwyn isn't fully dead so if he is to pass through the shadow lands through death he can't. His soul was destroyed by the Black Knife Assassins and his body was left "alive" and rotting which spreads deathblight.

Miquella already tried to bring Godwyn back too and failed, their backup was Radhan.

Welcome to the first stage of disappointment

Not to talk about how Mohg's character was ruined by "seduction magic" making him a creep, instead of being an unapologetic deviant.

There's really any number of fixes to this, including just resurrecting the soul like how you can resurrect the body even if thats destroyed. Unconventional but its special god magic so who cares. Just feels like a waste especially with the death magic users being present in the catacombs

I also think a lot people wanted to know what Radahn was like in his prime.its a discussion i seen brought up many times about him.So i kinda wonder if fromsoft took that on board when designing the dlc.

I feel like just as many people wanted to see what a restored godwyn would be like

I dont doubt that.i mean i wanted godwyn to be involved in DLC too im just saying that may be a reason they did it.
But because Radahn was so popular already probably made more sense to do it this way.

from what i gathered Mohg was charmed because Miq somehow figured out that if he got Mohg to feed him blood using his formless mother pact then he could ascend to godhood which would assumably help his plans of curing Malenia and Godwyn

When he does ascend and goes to the shadow realm people just call him crazy and neither Malenia nor Godwyn are ever mentioned. Also I don't think they ever actually say what his plan is (unless its after you beat it, cuz im stuck)

Godwyn is already associated with the age of the duskborn, his story was over.

Think he’s gonna be the center for the next dlc. He’s taking over the land of shadows, as well as the lands between. This is just my own opinion though

Godwyn's too busy cosplaying as literal cancer to actually do much of anything in modern times. If he was ever going to show, it would have been as a shade or memory discarded by Miquella, akin to Godfrey's Golden Shade in Leyndell. Which could absolutely have replaced one of the Death Knight fights in the Catacombs. I imagine that's more or less how he'd fight anyway, big sweeping attacks with lightning everywhere combined with 10x the health pool and an unreasonable amount of poise. Nothing we've not seen already, tbh.

I think the general idea is Miquella wants to make a world where everything is peaceful, but would be achieving this by essentially mind controlling everyone, destroying the notion of free will.

There is no next DLC. This was confirmed by From to be the last content for Elden Ring.
