Just completed my first run with a pure INT build; Would I have better experience with my other builds?
Title.

My first playthrough was done with my pure INT build. I ended the DLC as lvl 192, with 42 VIG, 48 MND, 43 END, 25 STR, and 86 INT. I mostly used Lsat's Staff +10 and the Dark Moon Greatsword +10.

For Spells, I used Adula's Moonblade and Comet. The only two new sorceries that I could use (without respec) and were worth while were glintstone nails and blades of stone.

NGL, I had a pretty miserable time. I didn't think there were too many new options for staves or spells, and even with defensive talismans and maxing out scadutree blessing the DLC kicked my ass. There were many areas, mobs, and monsters where I felt my other builds would've fared a lot better, while this INT build only was effective at situational parts. Don't get me wrong, I love challenges in video games, but I feel I made this way harder than it already is by going in with my INT build.

I came across so many weapons and incantations, all looked very fun to play with, but I couldn't use them with my current build.

So far I have STR/FTH build w/ Blasphemous Blade, Rotten Breath, and some support incantations, the stereotypical Guts build, the RoB spammer, the scarlet rot and bleed build w/ DEX/ARC, and a gravity warrior STR/INT build w/ Radahn greatsword and rock sling.

Now going off by my first experience, I am not sure the other builds would be any better/worse than my pure INT build. STR/FTH I can probably get by with non-holy incantations, Guts build I might stay alive longer but have to fight everything at close range, The scarlet rot and bleed build I see doing okay, because I definitely saw stuff I could replace.

My biggest concern is for the RoB spammer and Gravity Warrior build; RoB spammer is powered by lord of blood's exultation talisman, but that is about it. Gravity Warrior IS at 60 STR and 38 INT, and while the starcaller spam is fun I obviously can't use it forever and rock sling is just there as a secondary-hitter; It also doesn't have too much going on.

Go full melee for the most satisfying experience

Int builds (and dedicated spellcasters in general) really suffer in the DLC tbh.

If you try Str/Fth, I'd recommend you go for Siluria's Tree (from the base game). It's really easy to build around, and allows you to swap between melee and ranged combat very smoothly. Also the charged AoW (which is mostly what you'd be using) hits like a buick.
