What is this troll?
DLC comes out last week and you are still speaking about Margit?
Please, you are a troll.
OP either "explored" for half an hour and smashed his head against Margit for 7 hours, or is trolling.
you need weapon upgrades ( + 3?) to hit better, ( its much better than leveling strength, huge stat rewards come later at like 30 str, early game is all about weapon upgrade)a few levels of vigor too, maybe 550 hp?
Margit's pattern is also hard, he is the trickiest creature in the first area of the game. Some of the later bosses are actually easier than him ( pattern, not stats). Really takes tries to learn him.
A player summon will be far more powerful than npc. Rogier, Wolves or jelly fish also helps. ( you have to draw aggro almost all the time w summons, or they will die too soon )
doesn't mean you must fight him in order to explore the rest of the world. just explore other parts of the map and come back when you're stronger
