Is it me or does Midra's Flame of Frenzy suck as an incantation

This seems like a genuinely worse version of Unendurable Frenzy. It has a longer windup, is more expensive to cast, has higher madness buildup, and all with no discernible damage increase.

Outside of Midra Cosplaying, this incantation has zero use at all. Seriously never use this in pvp unless it is with a poise tear or endure, and at that point just pick Unendurable Frenzy.

What armor for the cosplay? been wanting to try a midra build.

It has next to no startup and no long animation at the end like Unendurable Frenzy. Consequently it's much more usable against bosses.

Nope, you may be mistaking that as inescapable madness which is the grab. As a side note that incantation is really bad as well.

I guess that may be a point but since madness does not proc on bosses you're better off using other incantation schools.

Ya seems to need a buff it's total garbage in PVE and is outclassed in PVP costs way to much FP and does way less damage.

Nope, no gear from Midra besides the sword that somehow only does holy damage.

Goldmask's shirt basically fits the theme. Can't exactly have the frenzy head yourself, but that's fine. Greatsword of Damnation and you're basically set. Though I'd probably take madding hand too for the AOW and additional madness buildup. maybe even the madness perfume with rolling sparks.

Midra's Flame of Frenzy incant is pretty good for PvP despite what's being said here.
As No Miko said, it has less of a windup than Unendurable Frenzy, and doesn't lock you in an animation at the end.
It procs madness quick, and the only drawback is the faster FP drain, which isn't that much of an issue as you're probably only going to use it once or twice in a fight.
Especially as a madness proc from either that, or Madding Hand true combos into rolling sparks for a 2 shot kill.

Frenzy eyes are cool, but it would have been badass to have the lord of frenzy head as an equippable head.

For what it’s worth frenzy is pretty good in PVE, saying to just switch schools like it’s worse fire giant school is kinda wrong.

Like it has some of the best range of all the incantations, benefits from fire damage bonuses like fire scorpion + flame shrouded tear, and howl of shabriri isn’t the worst buff to use either.

So having an incant thats more useable against bosses than unendurable frenzy or inescapable madness is genuinely not the worst for the class, although I definitely think midras still needs a buff.
