Is like ~30 in everything too weak for the DLC?
My build is already not very polar, I think.
My character is Lv.150 with 32 in STR, 22 in DEX (I think it was to use the BHF which I put away) and 50 in FTH.

There's also like 52 VIG, and some investment in MND and END (30ish here as I use some hefty equipment).

I was finding myself wanting to use some of the INT leaning equipment from the DLC but I value my FTH kit.

I don't really use much offensive incantations, but the 50FTH definitely helps my weapon scaling.

Would like 30STR, 30INT, 30FTH be too spread out?

Do you need to have a single stat that's 50-70ish to not be TOO hassled against tanky enemies?

i mean it's kinda a bad stat spread, not just for dmg and stuff but you lock yourself out of cool weapons, spells and such

just do the build you want to do and stat dump in mind if you dont want to be "too strong"

Stats do barely improve your dps, skills and defence and should rather be invested for specific weapons or skills.

I finished the dlc with lvl 160; 60 vig; 45 END, 49 STR and the other stats based on my weapons of choice. Mostly Arcane and faith for a few spells and bleed / faith weapons.

Don't rely too much on armor and other unnecessary stats, which barely improve something. Try out different weapons, shields and skills you feel comfy with, and most importantly have fun!

I wouldn't even dare the DLC without a main stat of 80. You're going to want to milk your build for every bit of damage you can muster. You might think you need Vigor and End more but repeated hits will wear down your healthbar and resources. What ends fight efficiently is ending them quickly.

But hey, do whatever you want with your build. It's yours to experiment with.

If you want to succeed, you have to be willing to fail.

Nah. 80 in almost any stat is a waste when a strong softcap is usually at 60.

What? No, that's for Mind and Vigor and stuff. For the damage stats, 80 is the strong softcap. In fact, the points between 56-60 give fewer benefits than the 60-80 points do.

It's literally in the wiki.

And here's a graph of the point spread. Notice the dip just before 60 versus the flat box after. It's even worse for spells because they're backloaded and get their MOST gains from 60-80.
