The first of the 7 or 8 around the forest will drop a talisman (more damage if madness procs nearby) the rest swollen grapes, a consumable to craft the most powerful frenzy flame based throwable (all the frenzy flame cooking books are in the area) so i recomend to parry and kill them all. There is a stake of Marika near EVERY one and a grace near the last so fast respawn to try again.
Have extra care with a area with two of them patrolling the place.....no need to tell you what will happen if you aggro both.
They only have one move after all, it just requires a little practice.
I actually got it on my first try when I learned about the trick.
Yeah they just raise their wand and "grab" you. The perfect moment is right after the wand glows. Also have to keep in mind they constantly will build madness on you so people with low focus heads will probably explode......if you have Seluvis set and a clarifying horn charm you can probably survive enough to parry before madness procs (or fire prelate set for maximum focus).
10 minutes adventure, in and out
Crouch. This decreases your visibility radius and stacks with Assassin's Gambit. When you see the glowing head, he has his back to a tree. Go around behind the tree.
