Are you using the summon in the arena to help you fight him? He's a pain in the ass if you go at it solo.
Also, the dragon items you find on your way up *harpoon, sword, etc* all do quite a bit of damage to Bayle.

Ya you should try to use the NPC summon right inside the door on the left when you start the fight. If it's not there, perhaps you need to do a few steps in the quest still. Plus, its some of the best Voice Acting in the entire DLC imo.

I finished the game and I don't think I can find that character

Im not sure if you can or can't tbh. I beat the final boss then realized I had missed Bayle so I went to do that fight afterwards. Without spoiling too much, there's an NPC you should have crossed a few times while on your way to the summit of the mountain.

If you want, you can look up "Igon Questline" and maybe that will help you finish it if its not too late. I know he helped me a ton as well as a bunch of other people based off of their comments.

Like previous comments may have mentioned, dragon wound grease, and the dragon wound skill on the Katana you get from the boss in the dragon pit should do heavy damage to it. make sure to use lightning and fire resistance items, since it's attacks deal both.

If you want to cheese then just use bleed with Impenetrable Thorns you can cause bleed explosion that does like 8k in a single hit lol probably more dmg if you spec your build with talismans and ♥♥♥♥. That's how i dealt with radahn :P Bayle can be fought normally though summon igon if you want as that will complete quests for 2 npc.
