Its was most likely all mostly G.G.R of Games of Thrones fame who came up with this stuff. You know the show that is just borderline softcore pornography, incest and the masses eat it up making it a TV phenomenon that everyone talks about.......

Modern audiences like some pretty degernate stuff, but at least in this game the lore is not in your face and like others have said the game makes it pretty clear that it is pretty messed up stuff (does no glorify it).

lol, if you mean the whole "consort" stuff: Consort is a word for companion. Not strictly husband/wife. They are not romantically engaged. In this case Radahn is the King companion to God, Miquella. They rule together so they are companions.

at first i thought so but judging by the previous god and lord which is marika and godfrey its indeed non-platonic

i think the "curse of youth" thing should not have been written

remove that one element and it's just interesting, but with that element, there's no way it's not uncomfortable in a variety of ways

Because Marika and Godfrey, while God and a Lord, were also married and it was implied that there was love between them. But I do admit, there is no hints about how Miquella felt about Radahn, just that he admired his strength and kindness which is why he choose him as his consort.

If anything, lot of things in the lore of these games is up for interpretation, especially blanks like these. So whether or not Miquella had a thing for Radahn or he is merely using him because his strength makes him the best candidate for a Lord, up to you. If you want to believe the brothers are doing the dirty and wanna get mad about it, sure.

well then, my lore interpetation is miquella try to create a new ultimate woke era by becoming a god then commonizing romantic relation with underaged and half-sibling, so we as he said "the old lord" try to restore the balance into the old world (pre-woke era) 🤣

I think it is a part of achieving godhood for Empyrean.
To become a god they need to have perfect consort. For example we have became Ranni's consort. Miquella saw Radahn as a perfect consort, but he refused, so he decided to find another way to make him his consort.
Of course, if we will read this with no context it will sound strange and probably stupid (Boy reanimates his half-brother using his soul and another half-brother's body, so he would be able to marry him and ascend to godhood)
