Ringed City DLC is better
As someone who loved the ♥♥♥♥ out of Elden Ring and played the game constantly for a year and a half, I am slightly disappointed with the DLC. No, it isn't because it is too difficult. I beat all the main game's bosses no hit with just about every build you can think of without summons including Malenia. Hell even the artificial difficulty like the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ camera angle in boss fights like Golden Hippo and Dancing Lion or the true combo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the final boss fight I can forgive.

What I hate is the exploration. It's almost as if you absolutely need guides in order to not wander around for many hours like an idiot wondeirng where you have to go to find the next boss.

I beat the final boss of the DLC, yet I left 50% of the other bosses alive because these areas require extensive exploration. Sorry, but I dont want to spend many hours exploring and going back to previous dungeons just to find out that I missed one little turn that leads to an elevator that takes you down to another area, or you have to collect an emoji in a random location and you use that emoji to unlock another secret area. How the ♥♥♥♥ are you going to know that without using guides?

Ringed City did not have this problem. It was linear, areas were fun to explore, and boss designs were soo much better especially Slave Knight Gael compared to the sorry excuse of a second phase this final boss has. It's not even a contest when it comes to whether The Ringed City is better than SOTE and that comes from someone who considered Elden Ring better than DS3.

it's not when you realize you can literally run through the ringed city dlc not killing anything.

On top of the ringed city also having only 3 worthwhile bosses and 1 garbage gimmick pvp boss

I'll give ringed city some credit and say it is a ♥♥♥♥ ton better than ashes of ariandel

Those 3 bosses are literally better than just about every single boss in this game's DLC. Quality > Quantity.

Bro the dlc is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ peak. I love the difficulty and having to really learn all of the bosses movesets is so dope

All Fromsoft games are like this, where essentially nothing is explained and explorations is required.

The only difference is, ER is open world, and relatively big, which is why it feels like a kick to the nuts.

Even Morrowind gave you a journal, lol.

Once again, post history was Gabe's gift to humanity

i do not agree with ur exploration point, ds3 is a more linear game, er is an open world. on the other hand ringed city KICKS THE FACKIN ASS OUT to this dlc

negative points for shilling for a worse souls game

Elden ring does dark souls better than dark souls 3 ever will

You clearly didnt read my post. I am fine with difficulty of bosses, even if some of them are artifically difficult.

My issue is with the forced exploration where you can easily spend 10-20 hours just figuring out how to reach the other bosses in the game that arent main bosses. That is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and ruins the experience.

Ringed City has references to Angels Egg, one of the best movies ever made.
SOTE doesn't
Ringed City wins by default

the scadu fragment complaint is fine (only reason im iffy on it is because of not wanting to explore scadu altus early because of questlines/ missable dialogue)

Also, getting to the other areas will be confusing but you will learn how to get to those areas eventually

I already beat the final boss of the DLC like days ago. Problem is I am literally just running around the entire map like an idiot figuring out where to go next. It's just frustrating and boring to do. This is taking me more time than killing an actual boss. If they want to make misc items and ♥♥♥♥ rewards for exploring then fine, let them explore. But dont lock actual boss figths like Bayle in these areas.

Elden Ring is the very best souls game for me, because of the adventure of exploration. Such a pleasure to find a hidden secret, entrance to a cave or a way up or down.

I kinda love the map more than anything.
I had soo much fun looking at something and wondering how to get there and then finding a way to get there. the level design was amazing.

I love it too, but not when I am spending more time runing around in circles like an idiot wondering where to go. It then becomes frustrating.
Boss design wise Dark souls 3 was peak fromsoft and gael and midir proved that along with sister friede , here it's difficulty for difficultys sake without taking fun into account , nobody in their right mind would honestly say that radhan is a fun fight , messmer was a fun fight
