Radahn Final Fight - How to Avoid Meteor Strike?

Sorry I'm having a relatively smooth time with this guy, but how exactly do you avoid that attack? It seems like it strikes you regardless of your position, and there's too many instances to block or dodge.

Is there some kind of damage resistance I don't know about? Any advice is welcome. Thank you!

I run back a bit, then to side while jumping and its fine

Look up when he jumps, you should see him then just run the opposite direction

This, jumping right before the first meteor strikes while running sideways worked 100% of the time for me. I even had time to drink a pot before sprinting if I wasn't hit when he spirals into the air.
