Desire for Basic Plate Armor?

As a player that usually runs a Knight build. I must say I was always dissapointed with the lack of simple plate armor in the game. Just basic knight armor without surcoats or any fantasy flair.
I was desperately hoping that the DLC would add more of this; however, while I loved the DLC it didn't scratch the itch for more plate armor in my opinion.

So, I was just curious. Do any other people that run that style feel the same? What's your take on the designing of the armors in this game over the older souls games?

The Solitude set looks decent to me, and you can alter the cape away

Yeah lol, That's pretty much the armor that I've been running for all of my playtime. xD

Since I found the Oathseeker set, I've been running that.

We don't have many options in ER, but still:
Knight Set,
x Knight Set, where x = faction name
Solitude Set

The rest looks ugly as hell. Souls had more options surely.

Solitude set is a solid option, maybe I'm being a little to critical, but even that looks a bit over the top for me: All of the hard angles and lining on it that could catch blades and arrows.

greathelm also goes pretty hard with a lot of chestpieces, had it for a while with the cleanrot armor looked clean

The Knights set comes closest out of all the sets in the game.
