Should i play with controller or Keyboard and mouse ?

I do not like keyboard controls in Soulsborne games tbh, Controller just feels better

My first play was with KB&M, I felt handcuffed the entire way. I am a lifelong PC player since the 80's, never play consoles. Bought an XBOX-style controller and it feels much smoother. I do fumble with the controller but it still feels better to play for this game.

I bought the controller specifically to replay Elden Ring and then Sekiro (and hopefully Bloodbourne) on PC.

KB&M is definitely viable, but this was the first game I felt like I needed a controller.

The KBM controls in ER are much better than the previous games but use whatever you want. It does help to have a mouse with more than three buttons too.

While probably true I played all Souls games with KBM and had no issues. It's really a matter of what you're used to.

I prefer kb+m for these games. Mainly because shoulder buttons are very uncomfy imo, at least compared to mouse and you have better camera and crowd control.

Quick lock off and on again can also be very helpfull in some situations. That's usually done by pressing down one if the thumb buttons, which is one of the worst buttons ver invented in the history of gaming.

before DS1 i could not imagine using a controller, coming from first person shooters. now i cannot imagine keyboard

If you're using k&m in any combo, you're simply playing it wrong. FROM first and foremost designed ER as a console game.
