It does need a nerf but it's not only invaders spamming it my dude. You can counter it but it takes a lot of trial and error to find what works

The problem is there is almost no workaround, it takes perfect timing with an UGS

What counter? The only "counter" is getting lucky like just hyper armoring through and get a lucky hit. There is no real counter to this AoW, and I have tried a lot of stuff, practically everything I could think of. The best counter I could find is just the lucky hit from big weapons with hyper armor weapons or any AoW that also gives you hyper armor.

Again, getting lucky is not a counter, not a real one anyway.

work around i can choose what people are joining my world with and its 98% of invaders im not going to plat my game just to counter that

But that slash is used by bad invaders. If you die by R2 spammers don't cry. Just you are worst than them.
You can easily out trade them because their trajectory is always catchable with a thrust.

Not every invader is toxic. Besides, this is not about gank squads killing invaders with it, it's about invaders doing the same. It's become a circle about who can swift slash their opponent to death first.

It's not just invaders quitting, but also people doing co-op with their buddies.

Yeah, sure. When even some of the best pvp players die to some random L2 spammer using it. I guess that makes the best pvp players worse than some L2 spammer then.

The nerf it got was pvp only, which was honestly a cool move by FS. It's still pretty nuts, but you can at least roll after the first hit now.
