When he charges you, dodge to your right. No need to run into him or anything. Stay near the door at the start so when he charges you, he ends up at the door, and you get a few free hits in. When he flies into the air, run towards him and dodge into him, you can get a few free hits off that. The only other attack you need to watch out for is him charging his spear purple. That one deals massive damage, so dodge rather than hit him.

Everything else, you can trade blows and heal to beat him.

Stay near the wall so you can limit his movement.
I don't dodge left or right. I dodge straight into him and it works. It's the timing that matter. Of course, sometimes angle would make you think left or right matters, but it's actually the timing.

Unless you're light rolling + crucible talisman you're not dodging his ground charge by dodging into him. The move has 2 hit boxes (the head, then the rest of the body). The length of his body is longer than the length of your roll. This is the reason why sometimes it does 25% damage and other times it does much more ( getting hit by both hitboxes).

The correct way to dodge the move is to dodge at an angle at the latest moment possible to avoid the hurt box on the head such that he cant track / pivot to get you with the body.

Terrain matters, the slopes in the arena can cause your dodge to travel a shorter distance and in those scenarios you're kinda just boned.

summon other player. Takes a while to get his unique pattern down, you can manage it. Easier way to handle his charge is light load( physik can mimic that, if you want armor).

I am full mage build. Beat him at level 108. All you have to do is learn his long a** combo and charge attack. Once you learn these patterns he is easy.

Why are people complaining about this boss? It's one of the best in the DLC.

My only guess is that this kind of boss is hard to cheese with mimic and there is no NPC summon?
