The wiki states: Lamenter has a unique one-shot kill debuff mechanic that must be managed throughout the fight. During the clone phase, when Lamenter unsummons the clones at the end of each phase, you will gain a stack of a debuff for every clone that was still alive at the end of the phase. The number of stacks you have is displayed as a ring around your character. If the number of stacks reaches 7(?) during the fight, you instantly die. The stacks do not expire. It is therefore important to kill as many clones as possible during the clone phase rather than focusing on the real Lamenter.
So yeah, just kill his clones fast.
