Where does ansbach summon (spoilers)

Ansbach summon sign was next to Ledas red summon to sign at final fight, in final area. It said he would spawn when appropriate. He never showed for Ledas fight? Is this a bug or does he summon to another fight later?

E: Update. I actually broke his entire quest by accepting the gold summon, teleporting back to Freya to check one last time if she would accelerate (because she's bugged as I returned the scroll to Ansbach before I talked to her), then coming back to join the red summon for Leda. He's not standing up at the top of the lift after the fight where he should be. He's not summonable for final fight (as I pretty much got him down to a sliver of health before I started panic searching in the ring).

E: Final boss dead - Even though Ansbach will bug out from the game, his corpse appears. Thollier I apparently missed because FS put his summon side in some obscure location, so I am unclear if he bugs or not. I would assume the same bug affects Thiollier and you get to do the final boss with just what you have. What a mess.

kk, so basically, you lock yourself out of the entire quest line if you summon his gold, teleport, then come back to do fight.

time -gated, he comes in late to the fight. like real late if you dont have the damage.

So if I kill them too fast, then I never see him? I can't find his bell bearing / armor / anything after the fight like the others...

Because he's still alive. He helps with the final boss too.

as long as he has been summoned and lived you progress his questline and will encounter his sign again.
