Scadutree fragment and revered spirit also

Hello,

I just started the DLC. I arrived at the Three-path Cross site of grace, found my first scadutree fragment. On the way there, I also found a Revered Ash spirit (or whatever it is called). However, at the site of grace, it's telling me I have 0 of them, for both.
I tried to restart the game but nothing. Can't find them in my inventory either. But they are not on the ground anymore.

What is going on ?

I also checked my chest to be sure, but nothing.

Am I screwed ?

That's because the fragments and the number shown in the Site of Grace are two different things.

The Scadutree system works in a very similar way to the Golden Seed and Flask system, where you needed to obtain a certain amount of Golden Seeds to improve the flask, and the number in the flask showed your current level. Think of Scadutree fragments as Golden Seeds and the Scadutree Blessing (the number shown in the Site of Grace) as the current "Flask level".

The fragments you pick up should appear in the same tab that Golden Seeds do.
What the site of grace shows is your current level of the Scadutree Blessing (which at the beginning, is 0), and to increase that level, you need to have a certain amount of fragments on you (which at the beginning, is 2), and then click on the Scadutree Blessing option to get the option to upgrade it.

You will know that you have enough fragments to upgrade the blessing because the option will be highlighted, so every time you rest at a Site of Grace the game will tell you if you have enough materials to upgrade it. You can't miss it.

The revered spirit ash system works in the same way, but it only affects the strength of summons and your horse, so it is not as important.

No, it's not that. I just picked up 2 more, so 3 in total, and they do not show in my inventory. Also I think first level take only 1, then 2, so I should be able to level up 2 times, but when I go to the site of grace, it's telling me I don't have fragments. (which technically is true, they are not in my inventory).

My bad. They are sent in the chest, but I forgot there are tabs in the chest too (damn, too many pages of inventory lol).

Are you having that thing where you have so many items in your person that things are getting sent to storage? It may be that you will need to visit the storage and drop some things so that you can pick them up.

Yeah, I farmed a lot (and in NG+4), so my inventory is a bit full ^^

One annoying thing, is that it basically send everything to the chest, even new talismans. Why limit the inventory space ?

Do you have duplicates of armors and weapons that you dont drop or sell? I've never once ran out of space in my inventory. I didn't even know it was possible!

I had a bug on release that nothing I collected got collected. It was ( I'm assuming ) tied to the new inventory tab. I had to reload my pre-dlc save and start over. I tested my inventory on mushrooms before getting frags / gear. It was a wasted 30 minutes and annoying. Back up your saves frequently.
