being a tryhard is a good way to play IF and only if your rules apply to yourself and no one else
no shields was the previous tryhard standard. it really is more fun, but it really is freaking obnoxious when people are like "gee, why are you using that shield when you could just not get hit instead? [shocked pikachu]"
If anything, summons are just another fun way to take out a boss. If someone prefers one method or challenge, that's cool, but it's incredibly myopic to judge others for utilizing game mechanics presented to them.
