How can you get to that area behind the western mausoleum? The one with some red in it

From the Three Cross Grace go thru the tunnel going to Belraut
Then follow wall to the left, the path is that way.

You mean that plateau north of the starting point in the DLC? Go to the crossroad grace where you find the first Cross, and then go through the giant archway. Turn left immediately after the archway, before the stairs. There's a path leading upwards there, it's easy to miss.
