ELDEN RING
Needle Knight Leda fight is unreasonably tough.
Before any of you say get good, I've probably played more than you. With this post I aim to be as objective as possible.

To preface, rarely has difficulty been an issue for me in this game. The only boss I struggled was the elden beast and that's the final boss, it should be that hard. This said, after fighting many of the shadowland bosses, I have an issue with the Leda fight.

For being npcs, they each take about as many hits as a dragon to kill. They aren't even that dangerous, they're just so fracking durable because each of the 4 enemies has 3 dragons worth of HP. That's 12 dragons worth of damage I have to do unless I have a dedicated squad all using meta builds who can burst them down in time.

I've only done this 3 times now but I get the feeling this fight may be harder than the elden beast because 12 dragons worth of sponge. This feels unreasonable to me.

I haven't done the math but if anyone would like to, I'd be interested to see if my guesstimation is right. When something is this difficult is because the math is off. Was the same with timing in DS2.

They stepped up the NPC AI in general in the dlc. By including input reading into their routines and an agressive bend.

Best thing you can do is just walk backwards or backstep for easy punishes.

Once you have the figured out you'll never die in a moseleum again.

Or Needles tripple invasion.

The DLC isn't that hard if you combo a no skill ash of war greatshield with any old neato L2 weapon.

Indeed, and it's also not so bad if you just hit them and don't get hit, but that analysis is so shallow it's a joke.

Just like your complaint. Fromsoft always gives you the tools to proceed forwards and the biggest enemy is always yourself, not whatever boss you're facing.

I'm using a greatshield with the fedora sword and finding things very easy.

Just because you have played more doesn't mean you've gotten good. It could mean you've learned slower than others.

TLDR: Git Gud :praisesun:
Backstep? I don't know what that is, I giant hunted every single one of those goofballs lmfao.
Meanwhile she does like 1/10 of the actual damage she does to you when summoned vs Rellana.
I used Mohg's Spear with a Mimic Tear. If it's a gank fight she wants, then it's a total party wipe she gets. I didn't even complete any of the quest steps that allowed NPC summons. EVERYONE was jumping me.

As much as I think summoning makes the experience in most boss fights worse (usually you just need to really learn the boss's attacks and openings, and once you do that it's a reasonable matter of execution - summons make it a lot more of a DPS race and make learning the boss slower IME), having fought them the "correct" way it's really not worth it.

They're not THAT difficult, you need to burst down the first two or use a really powerful PVP build and then just kite around the last few survivors taking openings when they give you them - but I can't pretend that's very fun or is much of a skill check. They're basically just NPC invaders trying to 3v1 you, and evening the odds probably makes that a lot less painful.

On the first part I agree but this game can be so punishing if you go it solo it's just not worth it. After you climb the skill plateau it's like, sure I could spend hours walking a tightrope making small improvements or I could get better at gangbanging and have more fun doing it. And this game really is designed for the gang bang too, not like Sekiro.

Yeah, Leda is one tough cookie. And to make matters worst, I messed up the questlines for Moore, Hornset and Freya and, got locked out of Thiollias quest as well. When all was said and done it was 3v5 (me, my mimic and Ansbach). I finally got through them tho with my Godskin stitcher with triple thrust AoW. They all melted away one by one LOL!
try albinauric pots

And right there is when I stopped reading. If you have to say you are good or assume you played longer than most, you need to gitgud.
Odd. I thought Dane was more of an issue in that battle. Especially after seeing how much HP he has in multiplayer. My god. His poise.
mega skill issue. leda isn't even a boss fight, she and her allies are just literally other npc player characters with the same crap we - the players - have access to.
this is the definition of a git gud issue.

Get good at reading you fool.
I summoned the one support NPC that was available and added mimic tear. I then rushed them to kill them quickly so there wouldn't be 3-4 enemies to deal with at the same time. As long as it's 1 or 2 they are managable.

You need a weapon that stuns these ♥♥♥♥♥, personally ive used the dark blade. But i heard the sunflower blossom is good.
Hand of Malenia is easy mode against any npc short of using a greatshield, with basic damage set-up you can stunlock to death any npc in the game.
