They stepped up the NPC AI in general in the dlc. By including input reading into their routines and an agressive bend.
Best thing you can do is just walk backwards or backstep for easy punishes.
Once you have the figured out you'll never die in a moseleum again.
Or Needles tripple invasion.
Just like your complaint. Fromsoft always gives you the tools to proceed forwards and the biggest enemy is always yourself, not whatever boss you're facing.
I'm using a greatshield with the fedora sword and finding things very easy.
Just because you have played more doesn't mean you've gotten good. It could mean you've learned slower than others.
TLDR: Git Gud
On the first part I agree but this game can be so punishing if you go it solo it's just not worth it. After you climb the skill plateau it's like, sure I could spend hours walking a tightrope making small improvements or I could get better at gangbanging and have more fun doing it. And this game really is designed for the gang bang too, not like Sekiro.
And right there is when I stopped reading. If you have to say you are good or assume you played longer than most, you need to gitgud.
this is the definition of a git gud issue.
Get good at reading you fool.
