Needle Knight Leda fight is unreasonably tough.
Before any of you say get good, I've probably played more than you. With this post I aim to be as objective as possible.

To preface, rarely has difficulty been an issue for me in this game. The only boss I struggled was the elden beast and that's the final boss, it should be that hard. This said, after fighting many of the shadowland bosses, I have an issue with the Leda fight.

For being npcs, they each take about as many hits as a dragon to kill. They aren't even that dangerous, they're just so fracking durable because each of the 4 enemies has 3 dragons worth of HP. That's 12 dragons worth of damage I have to do unless I have a dedicated squad all using meta builds who can burst them down in time.

I've only done this 3 times now but I get the feeling this fight may be harder than the elden beast because 12 dragons worth of sponge. This feels unreasonable to me.

I haven't done the math but if anyone would like to, I'd be interested to see if my guesstimation is right. When something is this difficult is because the math is off. Was the same with timing in DS2.

if you do some quests you can summon 2 npcs to help you in that fight, if you didn't you can still use the spirit summons tho

I think the fight is fine and probably one of the best moments of the dlc

Have you tried summoning the two NPC summons that you're supposed to?

Thiollier can be summoned to help you if you completed his questline prior. He can also be summoned to assist alongside Ansbach for the fight following the Leda moshpit, too.

Yeah there are two NPC story questlines you can do, Ansbach and the poison guy with St. Trina. You will get both of them to help you in the fight turning it into a 3v3, you can also use your spirit ashes to make it a 4v3.

Best strategy is to wait for the Thollier/Ansbach and Sanguine Noble summons to pop up and help with the fight against Leda and her allies, once they are up focus on getting rid of Hornsent as fast as possible because his spell will 2 tap you regardless of your Scadutree Fragments level or stats. After that the fight becomes much easier.

Just got to him.

Not as bad. I got him to half no summons.

Guessing it'll take 1-3 tries with summons.

bro that's not good if you struggled on the elden beast considering that's widley regarded as a weak boss

To be fair, I just fought it and one tried it. I remember it being tougher when I first beat the game, like I would spend minutes each time running around trying to smack it and die to attrition from it's bombardments. This time it was a lot easier to reach and I suspect it may have been nerfed because it was by far the toughest boss when I first played and I played when the game was released.

Can see why a lot of people think it's easy when the thing is in reach more often than not, but changing that is all it takes to turn this fight from easy to hard.

playtime doesn’t equate to skill. git gud 4head. hope this helps!
yeah this is a pretty standard npc fight, is your build good for npcs? just circle around the arena and attack when the opportunity arises. more of a test of patience than skill
