Also obviously some armors are better for certain types of damage as well, and there's a black steel shield you can get that has 85% resist from holy if you want to use a shield.
Get the golden braid talisman, dragoncrest talisman, and pearldrake +3 talisman. Also equip opaline hardtear and bubble tear to your physick. Then do the sekiro strat: practice dodging every attack, don't focus on hitting him just dodging. Do this a couple of times until you are use to dodging him then equip your weapon and weave attacks when he stops his combos. You should have a higher success rate after this.
Every single one of his moves ends with a pillar of multiple light aoes only to end with a 360 mini-nuke at the end of his combo and you cant see anything because of the flashbang.
Its extremely hard to see what the big guy is going to do because Miquella hair gets in the way
His light of miquela mega nuke will drop your fps from 60 to 10 in seconds.
His teleport flashbanging move is a weird and annoying pain in the ass and combined with the 3 things... it makes the boss fight a completely unfun mess.
I could almost do his phase 1 without any damage with my grave scythe/dual uchis but i switched to the fingerprint shield and antspur otherwise i wouldnt last 2 minutes against this mess.
It feels like im fighting a modded version of radahn, like ongball download and fight some extremely hard modded bosses.
As for the flashbanging, I'm with you there. Really wish there was a little less going on so we could see the tells better
~37 minutes in for the kill. He really isn't TOO bad. This was done solo, no magic buffs, hell no Rune Arch cause I forgot about them. Yes, there were times I almost died, yes he is hard. He isn't terrible. Just the chugging of the FPS is bad here.
other than that, his move set in second phase is kinda the same but with added light pillars, its easier to adjust to his second phase when you think about it that way.
And no, i did not use cheese, broken builds, summons.. i fought him fairly with a very normal / classic build.
The only reason this boss is as hard as he is is because of the visual overstimulation that comes from the light pillars, FPS drops, and miquella's hair. Those 3 completely tank the visual clarity in the fight so that actually learning how to properly dodge the light pillars or the clones takes way more effort than it really should.
You can make any boss harder by flashbanging the player, I'm sure iudex gundyr would take every new player 20 extra deaths if before every move he made the entire screen go white. It's just not a fun or interactive way to do it.
I was very frustrated because phase 2 is rather unfair.
I play with mouse and keyboard, by the way.
I love how he hit you with almost none of his difficult to avoid AOE attacks in phase one by luck of the draw and you come on here saying "He's not that hard." You got really lucky.
