Trina is a female but I don't know if she can just turn into a male if she wants. Lore says people thought she was a man but could also be a woman. It could be that Miquella was disguised as Trina or people thought Miquella was Trina or people just genuinely thought Trina was male. Thollier is indeed a weak femboy. honestly? probably to be provocative and when you consider the age thing it's in poor taste

the promo pics of him riding Torrent sidesaddle look like a disney princess. sidesaddle is explicitly feminine even before the long ass hair

the gender diversity is extremely interesting but the Mohg "bloody bedchamber" (and now consort Radahn stuff, ig, not there yet) really make it questionable because it really seems sexualized

this does tie in to old Japanese culture (about pedo tho. yes, it's historic. still pedo) it's weird AF in a AAA game. i'm dying to talk about this (obviously) but it's so freaking creepy, that there's nowhere to do it. most gamers just want to play the damn game. i've been triggering on this since the base game. ok /endrant

George RR Martin does like this stuff. He made a lot of the lore for the game. But how much FromSoftware uses from what he wrote for it? I'm not quite sure. But Martin does love his incest and not straight romance scenes.

what i thought, too. Gwindolin is amazingly cool and the gender stuff is very cool, but the "eternal youth" thing is really a bridge too far
